2020 Synapsis Summer Program!

We are proud to announce the first annual Synapsis Summer Program, starting July 6th. All proceeds and donations will go towards fighting COVID-19, and the program curriculum will focus heavily on biomedical learning and will emphasize methods of diagnosis, diseases, organ systems, and careers in medicine. The middle school program will also included guest speakers from acclaimed universities such as Harvard, UCSB, and UCLA!


The program will have two divisions, elementary (rising 4-5 graders) and middle (rising 6-9 graders), and each will have their own lessons, discussions, activities, and more! Elementary sessions will be every Monday and Thursday from July 6-23, with 6 total sessions of 1 hour each from 3-4 pm PST. Middle sessions will be every Wednesday and Friday from July 8-24, with 6 total sessions of 1.5 hours each from 3-4:30 pm PST.


Elementary School Sessions (rising 4-5 graders) will cover:

  • Organelles

  • Organs

  • Animal phyla

  • Paleontology

Middle School Sessions (rising 6-9 graders) will cover:

  • Macromolecules

  • Genetics

  • Central Dogma

  • Immune System

  • Nervous System

  • Cardiovascular System

  • Methods of Medical Diagnosis
